 This is how I see most of your choices. It is rare that someone stops and wonders how the end will be? If everyone is running towards a solution that does not result in a healed ingrown toenail, how do you call that choice? If the majority, I can say almost all, run away from a smart choice, because a stupid choice will give a solution, how do you call it?
